Sugar
Sugar is a kind of the nutrient known as a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates are a type of macronutrient that can be found in a wide variety of foods. There is a wide variety of carbs; the most common ones are discussed in the following paragraphs. Sugars are classified as simple
carbohydrates and comprise both fructose and lactose, which occur naturally in fruit and milk, respectively [2].
